Who should wear a tuxedo?

Answer: The groom, best man, ushers, groomsmen, the father of the bride, father of the groom and a ring bearer.

What should the ring bearer wear?

Answer: The ring bearer can dress like the groom or the groomsmen. He should be fitted only two weeks before the wedding due to growth spurts.

When should we register the wedding?

Answer: You should register at least two months before the wedding. It never hurts to register earlier and sometimes specials require that you have registered and have all measurements in one month ahead of the wedding date.

What about our-of-town groomsmen?

Answer: Groomsmen should be professionally measured at a formal wear store. They can call their measurements to 1-800-87-7215 or mail in the size card that VIP can provide. For an online printable version of this form click here

What if I gain or lose weight after being measured?

Answer: You can come in at any time and be re-measured and adjustments can be easily made.

What if we change our mind about the styles we picked out?

Answer: You can come into the store and change styles, although we prefer you make all changes at least two weeks before the wedding.

When do I pay for the tuxedo?

Answer: You must put down at least a $20.00 deposit when you place the order. You pay the balance when you pick up the tuxedo.

What happens if the tuxedo gets damaged?

Answer: The optional damage waiver will cover any accidental damage. If you did not elect the damage waiver, you are responsible for the replacement cost.

When do I return the tuxedo?

Answer: The tuxedos are usually required back the next business day. There is a $10.00 per day late charge on all late tuxedos.

What if the tuxedo doesn't fit?

Answer: All tuxedos should be tried on in the store. With our local warehouse, we can quickly get replacements to our stores.
What if the invitation says Black Tie?
Answer: Black Tie means to dress formally for the event. You should wear a tuxedo, matching trousers, formal shirt, cummerbund or vest and tie. You do not necessarily have to wear black vest and tie.
